We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the talented WBL students who have successfully completed their final projects! Your dedication, passion, and hard work have not only met but exceeded expectations, laying a strong foundation for your future careers.

The WBL Closing Event was a celebration of these achievements, beginning with inspiring opening remarks from Mark Chia, Chairman of the HELP UNI IT IAB. He praised the students for their outstanding accomplishments and emphasized the invaluable industry insights they gained during their placements with our esteemed partners.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the final presentations, where students proudly showcased their remarkable projects for the partner companies:

- Pilot Multimedia: Students enhanced software functionality using C#, T-SQL, and advanced data type conversion techniques.

- Beyond Insights: Developed a comprehensive survey builder and analytics system, encompassing everything from question creation to in-depth data analysis.

- Innergia Labs: Focused on optimizing ETL processes, OCR conversion, POS integration, and data storage for improved searchability.

- HT Consulting: Contributed to the development of machine learning algorithms, focusing on denoising bank cheque images using Python. Engaged in data preprocessing, model training, and optimized software development practices, applying advanced concepts from C# and SQL to real-world challenges.
These presentations were more than just demonstrations of technical prowess; they revealed a deep understanding of industry expectations for fresh graduates. Beyond mastering technical skills, the students learned the vital importance of interpersonal skills, essential for effective teamwork and accurate communication of business requirements with stakeholders. They also recognized the value of building strong relationships with peers and mentors, realizing that they don’t have to navigate their career paths alone.
The event concluded with motivational closing remarks from our WBL partners — Phillip Tan from Pilot Multimedia, Terrence Teo from Beyond Insights, and Vanessa Tan from HTC. They commended the students for their exceptional work and offered words of encouragement for their future endeavors.
Phillip Tan praised the WBL students for bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to their time at Pilot Multimedia. He was particularly impressed by their strong determination and eagerness to do their best in every task.
Terrence Teo urged the students to continually push their boundaries, emphasizing that the world is full of opportunities for those who commit to growth and lifelong learning. He assured them that by constantly striving to improve, they are paving the way for remarkable achievements in their future careers.
Vanessa Tan particularly emphasized the rapid evolution of the tech industry, urging students and future industry leaders to embrace adaptability and lifelong learning. As we move forward, it’s important to remember that our learning journey is ongoing. The challenges we face will become opportunities to apply the knowledge we’ve gained, bridging the gap between academia and industry, and demonstrating our ability to add value to any organization.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners — Pilot Multimedia, Beyond Insights, Innergia Labs, and HTC — for sponsoring the WBL program and providing these students with such an invaluable opportunity. Our appreciation also goes to the HELP University faculty and the Chairman of the HELP UNI IT IAB for their unwavering support. The networking session that followed was a perfect way to connect, reflect, and celebrate this incredible journey together.
To all the WBL students, this is just the beginning. Continue pushing boundaries and striving for excellence. The future is bright, and your potential is limitless!
